Harriet Theel | RAIMUNDO SAN MARTIN MONTERO*

Raimundo San Martin Montero (he/him) is a Chilean-born, third-year undergraduate student at the university pursuing a BA in Theatre Arts and a BA in Music. Recent credits include Head Over Heels (Musidorus), Argonautika (Pelias/Tiphys), Side Show (Reptile Man/Ensemble), Flashes (Mikey/Micah). This is his first time participating in New Play Festival and is super grateful to be working on a hilarious new work. Shoutout to his mentor, John Stinson.

Mother Angel | JOHN STINSON*

John Stinson is a senior at the University of Iowa. He is constantly refining himself as a performer both in Drag and on stage. John Stinson has appeared in numerous plays at the University of Iowa, including Head Over Heels, Side Show, Drag’daLore, and Macbeth. John would like to thank his friends and family. John is also very thankful to work with such a phenomenal production team and cast for his final production at the university.

Mama Margarita/Dr. Fang | ALYSSA BENITEZ**

Alyssa Benitez is a second-year MFA actor here at the university. Her recent past credits include Lady Capulet in Romeo & Juliet, Eliza in Tom & Eliza, and Carlo in At the Wedding. She is delighted to have been a part of this new play development process and hopes you enjoy it. Now sissy that walk!

Liz Anya | KITA BOND*

Kita is a first-year music theatre major. This is her third production at the University of Iowa, with previous credits including Argonautika (Medea) and Head Over Heels (Ensemble). She is so excited to be working with an incredible cast and director, and has truly enjoyed the process of developing a new work throughout rehearsals. Enjoy the show, nails down!

Rita Anne Wright | AVA SLATER*

Ava is a second-year undergraduate student double majoring in English publishing and theatre arts. Her previous performances at the University of Iowa include An Enemy of the People (Townsperson), Earthus Terminus (Piscator), and All That Glitters (Darlene). This is her first musical since high school, and she could not be more excited. She cannot wait to sing, dance, and serve!

Liz Bean | CHARLOTTE LARSEN*

Charlotte Larsen is in her second year as a theatre major on the musical theater track at the University of Iowa. She is excited to be returning for the second time as Liz Bean since last fall. Other credits at Iowa include Mrs. J in Only A Mask and The Parade in Far Away.

Cora la'Reef | JIMMY REMPEL*

Jimmy Rempel is a first-year student studying music theatre at the University of Iowa. This is his third show and second musical with the university. Past works including Romeo and Juliet as ensemble (Iowa), Head Over Heels as ensemble (Iowa), The Drowsy Chaperone as George (Washington Community Theatre), and Into the Woods as The Baker (Mid-Prairie High School). He would like to thank the directors, playwright, and the production team for giving him the opportunity to perform this amazing new work with such a talented, driven cast. Enjoy the show!

Hanna Anderson is a third-year theatre arts student on the music theatre track. You may recognize her as Pamela from the university’s recent production of Head Over Heels! Haydon Bailey is a second-year undergraduate majoring in theatre arts and screenwriting. His most recent credits include Head Over Heels (Ensemble), Romeo and Juliet (Paris), and The Boy with the Sun in His Eyes (Beau). Mar Y Luna Haskins is a first-year music theater major. This is her third show at the University of Iowa, previously being in Drill, Drill, Drill (Anya Svenson) and Head Over Heels (Arcadian). Drag Queen 1 | ELIZABETH NIGG*

Elizabeth is a Junior at the University of Iowa, double majoring in theatre arts and education studies & human relations. Previous university credits: Love Pentagram, Argonautika, Grown Backwards, and Marie Antoinette. This is Elizabeth’s first musical at Iowa, and she would like to thank the cast and creative team of Drag’daLore for making this experience so incredibly special to her. 

Drag Queen 2 | MAYA LAPAN-ISLAS*

Maya Lapan-Islas is a junior transfer student majoring in music theater at the University of Iowa. This is her second show at the university; some of her previous works include: University of Iowa: Head Over Heels (Arcadian) Theater Cedar Rapids: The Wolves (#46) Kirkwood Community College: Into The Woods (Sleeping Beauty) and Chicago (Annie). She is so excited and grateful to be a part of this show and to help bring Adrian’s vision to life.

Alanna Boland is a freshman at the University of Iowa, majoring in enterprise leadership. This is Alanna’s first musical at the university, and she would like to give her appreciation to the team that built Drag’daLore, and for gifting her the opportunity to perform in this production.

Alex Johnson (He/Him) is a first-year nursing student at the University of Iowa. His previous
roles include a Max in Only a Mask, and Magenta in All That Glitters. Shout out to Ava
Henrie for making him audition for shows, and his high school speech coach Marissa
Kuiken for teaching him what he knows about acting.

Twink | CARTER OWENS*

Carter Owens comes from Davenport, Iowa and is a first-year student at the University of Iowa. Carter attends college as both an acting major on the music theatre track, as well as a business major. This is Carter’s second show here at the University of Iowa following Head Over Heels, directed by Michael Flores. Carter would like to thank his mentor and grand mentor for welcoming him into this space, and giving him a place where he can truly express himself.

This is Tori’s second year acting with the University of Iowa, and they’re so excited to be a part
of this company! Tori has been acting, singing, and dancing since the age of 3, and has always loved to perform. They’re extremely grateful to be surrounded by other people who also have a passion for performing, and hope that you enjoy the production!
