Playwright/Director | MEG MECHELKE*

Meg Mechelke is a senior at the University of Iowa studying Theatre Arts, English/Creative Writing, and Spanish. Previous credits in the department include I Saw You/New Person, Queer Horror Festival, Symphony, and New Play Festival 2022. Meg would like to thank their cat, Snickers, for being a great long-distance boyfriend.

Assistant Director | SARA ALVIDREZ*

Sara Alvidrez is a second-year undergraduate student studying Theatre Arts and Criminology at the University of Iowa. This is her first time being a part of the directing process and hopefully not her last. She has previously been in I Saw You/New Person and Smile Medicine here at the university. Lastly, Sara would like to thank the cast, creative team, her friends, and her family for all they've done.

Stage Manager | EMMA MERKES*

Emma Merkes is a sophomore at the University of Iowa studying Art (Graphic Design) and Theatre (Stage Management). Previous credits at the university include New Play Festival 2022. Emma wants to thank Meg Mechelke for giving her the opportunity to stage manage their show as well as all their help! Also, Sara Alvidrez and Dorothy Craven for all their help and guidance throughout the process!

Scenic Designer | DOROTHY CRAVEN*

Dorothy Craven is a third-year Theatre Arts major with focuses in Stage Management and Scenic Design. She has previously worked on shows such as I Saw You/New Person, Gwenevere, and Stars and Stones. She is excited to be working with such an amazing creative team and hopes you enjoy everyone’s work. She would like to thank Meg, Emma, Sara, and the entire rockabye team for making this a wonderful process!

Lighting Designer | NICOLE BLODIG*

Nicole Blodig is a current junior double majoring in Theatre Arts and Studio Art. She held an internship this summer at Coralville Center for the Performing Arts and currently works as an electrician for the UI Theatre Department. She is also the Asst. Lighting Designer for the Bacchae; Previous works include Stars and Stones (2022), Three to Five Days (2021), and Disney's Newsies! (2021). She'd like to thank her friends and family for their support, and enjoy the show!

Costume Designer | ANNELIES KNIGHT*

Annelies Knight is a second-year student studying Theatre with an interest in Design and Art History. This is Annelies's first-time designing costumes for a university production. Some previous works include costume design assistant for BLKS, String, England's Splendid Daughters, and small hours.

Choreographer | SABRINA DUKE*

Sabrina is a fourth-year Theatre Arts major on the Musical Theatre track. She is also pursuing a B.F.A. in Dance on the Choreography track. Sabrina is grateful for the opportunity to use her choreography and dance knowledge in a new setting, and she hopes you enjoy rockabye as well as the rest of the University of Iowa Theatre Departments 2022/23 season.
