First Woman (Hera, Alcimede, Third Woman of Lemnos) | ZOE MAE NOLTE*

Zoe Mae Nolte is overjoyed to be here with everyone today. The process of creating this show has been nothing short of beautiful and invigorating thanks to a magical cast, crew, and director. Zoe is in her final year in the theatre department; you may have seen her in 3 Cubes and a Ghostlight, Side Show, or Dance Nation at the University of Iowa. She can’t wait to get out into the world after graduation this spring, and she has everything to thank her family, lovely friends, and dog for. Enjoy the show! Find her on Instagram @zoemaenolte

Second Woman (Athena) | CHLOE SCHWAB*

Chloe Schwab is entering her final year at the University of Iowa, where she is pursuing a BA degree in Theatre Arts on the music theatre track. Chloe’s recent credits include Home is Where the TV Is (Jenny/Allison), Fierce (Dancer), When You Read This (Caroline/Angie), and Side Show (Tattooed Lady/Ensemble/Dance Captain) at the University of Iowa and Mamma Mia (Ensemble Swing), and Chicago (Annie/Ensemble) at Circa 21’ Dinner Playhouse. Outside of performing, she is passionate about choreography and teaching. She is currently on staff at Tina’s Dance Studio, and Nolte Academy, and contributes choreography to The Spotlight Theatre in Moline, Illinois as well. Chloe extends a heartfelt thanks to her parents, family, and friends, whose love and encouragement have made her artistic journey possible. Enjoy the show!

Kita Bond is a first-year musical theatre and history major. This is her first production at the University of Iowa, and she feels so honored to be starting off her journey here with such a talented and committed cast. Argonautika is a beautifully written play that has truly touched her heart in so many ways, and she can’t wait to share all of her hard work with you all!

Madeline Rodriguez (she/her) is a fourth-year undergraduate studying Theatre Arts and Ethics & Public Policy at the University of Iowa. Her previous works at the university include salt tongue (Niamh), Far Away (Joan), Marie Antoinette (Polignac), Anti-Hero: Revenge of the Swifties (Cora), Dance Nation (Zuzu), Men on Boats (Seneca), Braided Sorrow (Yadria), and Mother:Knife (Maria). She is so grateful to the cast, crew, and creative team for creating such a beautiful space to explore. AR-GO-NAUTS!!!!

Elizabeth is a third year undergraduate at Iowa, double majoring in Theatre Arts and Education Studies & Human Relations. Past University of Iowa credits include Grown Backwards and Marie Antoinette. Other favorite credits: The Comedy of Errors, A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Iowa Stage Theatre Company) Elizabeth Cree (University of Michigan) and Oklahoma! (Winterset Stage) She would like to thank this stellar cast and creative team for teaching her what moving at “the speed of fun” really means. Much love to Mom, Dad, and Aphrodite—her favorite goddess. AR-GO-NAUTS!

Luis Avalos is a fourth-year undergraduate student studying Theatre Arts on the Music Theatre track, and Communication Studies. He has performed in several productions including Sideshow (Terry Connor), Flashes (Miguel), American Rusałki (Dr. Oliver/Benjamin), Into the Woods (The Wolf), Fathers and Sons (Eugene Bazarov), Braided Sorrow (Man/Officer/Carlos u/s), and rockabye (Confectioner). Luis is so thankful for this show, and the beautiful cast and crew that gave it life. He extends his gratitude to his family, friends, and faculty for their constant support, and wants to thank you for supporting live theatre! Enjoy the show!

Aidan Seville is a third-year musical theatre major at the University of Iowa. Aidan’s first show here was Macbeth (Seyton), and most recently he got to be a part of Side Show (The Boss) Aidan is very excited to be apart of this production because boats! He’d like to thank everyone who gives him rides (they know who they are) and his mother for giving him all of his talent. And he swears that she doesn't make him write that.

Thomas McCarthy, a second-year student at the University of Iowa, is a double major in Theatre Arts on the Musical Theatre Track and Business. He is extremely excited to be a part of this incredible production of Argonautika. Thomas’s past productions at the university include The (T-)Re(x)Formation (Jedd), Side Show (Roustabout/Ensemble), 3 Cubes and a Ghostlight (Actor 9), and Drag’daLore (Zachary Scott Brandon/Lincoln Bio). He would like to thank everyone involved with Argonautika for their hard work and dedication, and he would like to thank his friends and family for always supporting him. Enjoy the show!

If there is one word to describe Kylen Phillips, it’s him. He is a fourth-year theatre and screenwriting arts student who has been in a plethora shows and is ready to tackle another. He is very happy to be a part of this show because his castmates and creative team are very talented and skilled creatives. He encourages you to make loud reactions and fully immerse yourself in this story. Get ready for the seventh man on stage to be number one in your hearts!

Eighth Man (Hercules, Aeetes, Aeson) ​| BRENNEN MALONE**

Brennen Savon Malone (they/he) is a second-year MFA acting candidate. They are a Philly-born actor and received their undergraduate degree from Bates College in Lewiston, ME. Their previous University of Iowa credits include Adaku, Side Show, and Marie Antoinette. Before coming to the university, they originated the role of Juicy in the Pulitzer Prize-winning, Fat Ham at the Wilma Theater, as well as played Brad in Rocky Horror Picture Show at Theatre Horizon, Collins in RENT and Hanschen in Spring Awakening at Milton Theatre, and Wilbur in Charlotte’s Web at the Arden Theatre. They are incredibly grateful for their partner, Steven, their MFA cohort, and this community of generous artists at the University of Iowa.

Ninth Man | ALEX SMITH-PERRY*

Alex Smith-Perry is a second-year undergraduate student from Atlanta, Georgia, on the Pre-Law track studying Theatre Arts with minors in News and Media Literacy and Religious Studies. He was previously seen in Adaku (Priest/Akojindu) at the 2025 Iowa New Play Festival, making Argonautika his second production at the University of Iowa. He would like to thank his friends
and family for their support as well as Argonautika’s director, Josh Turner, for giving him the opportunity to be a part of such an amazing production.
