Host | LOLA KNIGHT Lola Knight is a second-year double major in theatre arts and screenwriting, but she's also going for a minor in Spanish. She is from Wellman, IA, a small town outside of Iowa City. Her other production she was involved in at UI was The Roommates, which was one of the plays in last year's Ten-Minute Play Festival. She is very excited about being in her first mainstage production! |
Portrait Artist | JAROD CONCHA Jarod Concha is a structural engineer and avid visual artist. He graduated from the University of Iowa in December 2019 with his bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a minor in art. Jarod is excited to continue working with the university arts community, and looks forward to sharing his talents through the Essential Workers project! |
Playwright | CHARLIE O'LEARY Charlie O’Leary is a second-year in the Iowa Playwrights Workshop. Alumnus of the Project Y Playwrights Group, the Brooklyn Generator, the Advanced BMI Workshop, Crashbox Theatre Company's Write Play Launch, the 24 Hour Plays: Nationals, and the Fornés Playwriting Workshop. Finalist for the Seven Devils Playwrights Conference, the DVRF Playwrights Program, and the Woodward/Newman Drama Award. Recipient of a New York Innovative Theatre Award. Short works published by Methuen Drama and Theatre Now New York. |
Actor | SASHA TYLER Sasha Tyler is a junior at the university, although she spent her first year of college training at Creighton University. She has been in a multitude of shows around the Iowa City and Coralville area with the Department of Theatre Arts, City Circle, Nolte Academy, and ICCT. She is so excited to be in her first mainstage and would like to thank all the essential workers involved! |
