Playwright/Director | VALERIE MUENSTERMAN Valerie Muensterman is from Evansville, Indiana. In 2021, she was a Mary Willard Scholar at the Sewanee Writers Conference. At Duke, she received the University Scholarship, Fulbright Summer Institute Grant supporting study in London, Reynolds Price Award in Scriptwriting, and Lipman & Cowen Scholarship in Playwriting at the National Theater Institute, Eugene O’Neill Theater Center. A Beinecke Scholar and Iowa Arts Fellow, she is a second-year MFA in the Iowa Playwrights Workshop. |

Dramaturg | MARGO SKORNIA Margo Skornia (class of 2023, MFA in dramaturgy) is from Grand Rapids, Michigan. She is thrilled and grateful to be joining Split Blood. She sends deepest love to the cast and crew. |
Scenic/Lighting Designer | JULIA CORBETT Julia Corbett is an entertainment designer, with most of their work in lighting and sound design. Their recent design credits include lighting and sound design for Where Are You Going, Holler Greene? and sound and media design for the Queer Horror Festival. Their other lighting credits at the university include All the Yellows, Taurus Sun/Aries Moon, and the Ten-Minute Play Festivals 2019 and 2021. |
Costume Designer | EMILY PAJAZETOVIC Emily Pajazetovic is a senior at the University of Iowa studying biology and theatre arts with an emphasis in costume design. She is from Waukee, Iowa, and has costumed a few shows for the University of Iowa, Coralville's Young Footliters, and Iowa City Community Theatre. Emily is looking forward to making the most out of her final year and costuming more shows in the foreseeable future. |
Stage Manager | TED BUCKLEY Ted Buckley is a senior at the University of Iowa studying theatre arts. He is from Johnston, Iowa, and has fallen in love with theatre during his time at the university. Ted has immersed himself in the world of theatre, acting in numerous university productions. He is thrilled to be taking on a new role as a stage manager and learn even more about the process of making theatre! |
Assistant Stage Manager | NORA ENGSTROM Nora Engstrom is from Nevada, Iowa, and is the assistant stage manager for Split Blood. She is a first-year undergrad majoring in theatre arts and psychology. She received the Iowa High School Musical Theatre Awards Technical Theatre Scholarship for her work as a stage manager in over 12 shows, as well as costume, set and prop design, and directing.
