After Beth's mother and sister disappear without a trace, she is left to a life of solitude—until a friendly stranger comes home, prepared to convince Beth that the key to finding her family lies in the books she once read as a child.

Audiences are advised that this performance contains suggested offstage violence, violence depicted onstage, loud and sudden sound effects resembling gunfire and explosions, and violence depicted against a child.
