Eli is a 2nd year MFA playwright. After a BA in Theatre and Spanish at the same university, they interned at Theatre Goodman and studied at Steep Theatre and Chicago Dramatists. Their work has been developed at 20% Theatre, Artemisia Theatre, and the Story Theatre, and their play Pleasure Play premiered at Dreamwell Theatre (Iowa City) in 2023.  

Eli's plays are dark and queer, with a tendency towards dry humor. They explore themes of transition, loneliness, and carnality, often against the backdrop of history. Their play Myocardium; Graphite will premiere at Dreamwell in November 2024.  

Eli is also a portrait photographer and besotted dog parent!
