Charlie O'Leary is a second-year in the Iowa Playwrights Workshop. Recent projects have included a virtual production of Effective (University of Iowa) and a podcast reading of Humiliation Play (Dreamwell Theatre). Finalist for the Seven Devils Playwrights Conference, the DVRF Playwrights Program, and the Woodward/Newman Drama Award. Recipient of a New York Innovative Theatre Award. His monologue This Trip is published by Methuen Drama, and his short musical Cooking for Two is licensed by MTI.

Director | IVEY LOWE

Ivey Lowe is an NYC freelance director, fight director, and educator with a focus on new works development. She was a 2018 Drama League Directing Fellow and is an alumnus of The Williamstown Theater Festival Directing Corps and the Lincoln Center Directors Lab. She is currently completing a Graduate Certificate in Community Leadership from the CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies and her MFA in Directing at Brooklyn College.

Dramaturg | MEG MECHELKE

Meg Mechelke is a second-year undergrad at the University of Iowa studying theatre arts and English. Her previous credits with the department include Ten-Minute Play Festival 2021, Skeleton Closet, Losing Faith, and Essential Workers: A Portrait. She feels incredibly lucky to have had the chance to work on this project and is excited to share it with you!

Stage Manager | TAYLOR LEIGH JACKSON

Iowa New Play Festival is Taylor’s fourth production at University of Iowa, previously working on 6 by 6, Dance Gala, and An Unsettled Body. Taylor is a recent transplant from Omaha, NE, navigating her first year in the MFA Stage Management program. She has worked as an independently contracted stage and company manager for the past 13 years for productions ranging from opera, dance, plays, musicals, and symphonies. Proud member of IATSE Local 42.
