Dionysus | ISAAC ADDAI Isaac Addai is a Ghanaian-American, second-year MFA Acting candidate from Rialto, California. The Bacchae is his third stage appearance, and he has enjoyed every minute of the process. Gye Nyame, Nyame Nnwu Na Mawu. |
Pentheus | MICHAEL TAYLOR Michael Taylor is a second-year MFA Acting candidate here at the University of Iowa. He received his BA in Speech Communication and Theatre from Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi. This is Michael's 2nd show at UI, after previously starring in Gwenevere last spring. After graduate school, he plans to further his acting career doing more theatre, and eventually transitioning into film. He wants to thank everyone who made this production possible, as well as his family and close friends. |
Agave | VICTORIA MCFADDEN Victoria McFadden is a 2021 graduate from the University of Iowa who has always had a passion for the arts. As an undergraduate, she spent lots of her time involved in productions at the University as well as independent film projects. Since leaving the university she has traveled abroad to get her Yoga Teacher certification and is excited to return as Agave for her first live role post graduation. |
Pam | KAT GUERRERO Kathleen M. Guerrero is a second-year MFA Acting candidate from Crystal City, Texas. She is a recent graduate of The University of Texas at Austin’s Theatre and Dance Department. Her recent credits include England’s Splendid Daughters by Ann Kreitman, This Is Life by Frances Garnett and Kathleen Guerrero, La Ruta by Issac Gomez, Three to Five Days by Olivia Clement, and much more. Cadmus | MONTÉ J. HOWELL Monté J. Howell is a New York City based actor who's currently pursuing his MFA at the University of Iowa (Acting), where he also serves as a graduate teaching assistant. In addition to his studies, Mr. Howell currently serves as an adjudicator and educator for Des Moines Performing Arts', Iowa High School Musical Theatre Awards. Mr. Howell was last seen in Henry V at Riverside Theatre. Holland has appeared on Morningside University’s stage as Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Frenchy in Sioux City Community Theatre’s Grease, and Audrey in Sioux City Community Theatre’s Little Shop of Horrors. |
Menopausal Bacchic Ensemble | ALICE CONROY* Alice Conroy is a second-year student making her way through Theatre. This will be the third production at the University for Alice - her most recent role being Clotho in the musical String. Sheep Bacchic Ensemble | JASON VERNON* Jason Vernon is in his first semester at the University of Iowa with a major in Theatre Arts. This is Jason’s first production at the University. Recent theater credits include playing Snoopy in You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown with Story Theater Company. Semele Bacchic Ensemble | GENESIS JONES* Genesis Jones is a sophomore here at the University of Iowa. She is currently seeking her degree in Neuroscience, Theatre Arts, and perusing certification in Resilience and Trauma Informed Perspectives. She is also assisting in undergraduate research within the Internal Medicine department here at the University. This is her first production at the University of Iowa. In her free time, she enjoys singing, writing poetry, and watching documentaries. She invites everyone to support the Theatre Arts department and to continue attending productions on campus!
