Ricky Ramón is a multi-faceted theatre artist and educator with a passion for performance and teaching. He has worked professionally as a director, stage manager, actor, and theatre educator for over 25 years.  

Ricky has directed and stage managed over 60 productions at venues such as Howard University, Arena Stage, Atlantic Theater Company (NYC), and Teatro Vivo (Austin). He most recently taught theatre at George Washington University and Howard University, where he was awarded the Lecturer of the Year award.  

His stage management credits include work with Studio Theatre, Signature Theatre (DC), and Atlantic Theatre Company (NYC). Ricky holds a Master of Education from Harvard University, an MFA in Acting/Directing from Texas Tech University, and an MA in Performance Studies from NYU-Tisch School of the Arts. He earned his BA in Theatre and English from the University of Notre Dame. Ricky is a member of Actors’ Equity Association and serves on the Board of Directors for Taffety Punk Theatre Company (DC). He recently served on the Board of Directors for the Southeast Theatre Conference (SETC) as Vice President of Equity & Inclusion. Ricky is originally from Pearsall, Texas.

Stage Manager | REESE MORGAN

Reese Morgan is a recent graduate from the University of Iowa theatre arts and journalism & mass communication programs. She has spent her time post-graduation working as a freelance theatre artist in the area. Her recent productions as a lighting designer include Legally Blonde & Newsies Jr. with Waterloo Community/Blackhawk Children’s Theatre, and It’s a Wonderful Life: A Radio Play with Riverside Theatre. As a stage manager, Reese has recently worked on Herein Lies the Truth and The Trip to Bountiful at Riverside Theatre, and acted as both Stage Manager and Lighting Designer for Black Women Walking with seek first entertainment. Reese currently works at Hancher Auditorium and the University of Iowa in the Theatre Arts Props Department. She is excited to be back and working with the university, and is very thankful for the mentorship and support from Melissa Turner and Maggie McClellan.

Johanna Specht is a first year MFA Candidate in Theater Arts-Costume Design at the University of Iowa. She earned a degree in Communications Studies from Gonzaga University in 2025. She has designed costumes for Tartuffe at Gonzaga University in 2024. She has assisted on Romeo and Juliet and How to Defend Yourself here and Stained Glass is first solo design at the University of Iowa! Thank you to Cathy Parrott, Emily Bushka-Hepker and Leslie Stamoolis for their mentorship.

Sarah Morgan is a third-year undergraduate from Cincinnati, Ohio, majoring in Art and Theater, with a primary focus in Costume Design. This is her first experience as an assistant costume designer, and she’d like to thank Johanna Specht for her mentorship and this opportunity!
