![]() Daisy Hilton | HELAINA KALMAN* Helaina Kalman is a fourth-year theatre arts major on the musical theatre track. Some of her previous roles include: The Witch (Into The Woods, UIowa), Hecate (Macbeth, UIowa), Cosette (Les Miserables), Cinderella (Into The Woods), and Annabeth Chase (The Lightning Thief). She is so thrilled and grateful to be playing the role of Daisy Hilton in the university's production of Side Show! Helaina would like to thank her family and friends for their constant support, Alice Conroy for being the best sister she could ever ask for, and the rest of the cast, crew, and production team for the work and effort that has created such a wonderful and meaningful show! ![]() Violet Hilton | ALICE CONROY* Alice Conroy is a fourth-year musical theatre major, and this is her 9th and final production at the University of Iowa. This show is extra special to her, because when she was young, she consciously absorbed her twin in the womb and has regretted it ever since, so she is so grateful to this show for giving her a second chance at being a twin! Alice wants to thank her family, Mom, Dad, Emma, Lucy, Liam, and Clara, for their unwavering support during the last four years. She dedicates the song “I Will Never Leave You” to them. ![]() Jake | BRENNEN MALONE** Brennen Savon Malone (they/he) is a first-year MFA acting candidate. They are a Philly-born actor. They received their undergraduate degree from Bates College in Lewiston, ME. Some of their recent credits include Joseph/Mr. Sauce in the university’s production of Marie Antoinette. They originated the role of Juicy in the Pulitzer Prize-winning, Fat Ham at the Wilma Theater, as well as played Brad in Rocky Horror Picture Show at Theatre Horizon, Collins in RENT, Hanschen in Spring Awakening at Milton Theatre, and Wilbur in Charlotte’s Web at the Arden Theatre. They are incredibly grateful for their partner, Steven and to be honing their craft here at the University of Iowa among such generous artists. |

![]() Boss/Ensemble | AIDAN SEVILLE* Aidan Seville is a second-year musical theatre major at the University of Iowa. Aidan’s first show here was Macbeth (Seyton), and most recently he got to be a part of Marie Antionette (Revolutionary #1). Aidan is very excited to do his first musical here at Iowa and couldn’t have imagined a better group to work with. He’d like to thank everyone who gives him rides (they know who they are) and his mother for giving him all of his talent. And he swears that she doesn't make him write that. |

Nicolette has performed in several productions, including Something Rotten (Snug), Macbeth (Witch), Into the Woods (Little Red Riding Hood), American Rusałki (Wioletta), and Uh-Oh! (Violet). Outside of the university she has played roles such as Deloris Van Cartier (Sister Act), Sour Kangaroo (Seussical), and Wednesday Addams (Addams Family). She is excited to make her debut in her very first mainstage production, and even better, it’s a musical! Last semester, Haydon was in his first workshop production at the University of Iowa: When You Read This. Haydon’s past high school experiences include numerous high school and community productions including Into the Woods (Cinderella’s Prince/Wolf), and The Wizard of Oz (Scarecrow/Hunk). ![]() Dog Boy/Ensemble | ZACH DOUGLAS* Zach Douglas is a third-year theatre arts major on the musical theatre track. Zach has been seen performing in the local theatre scene for a year now and has been seen preforming in musicals such as Godspell (Ensemble) and Chicago (Mary Sunshine). Zach is excited to make his Iowa debut in a mainstage production as the side show act of Dog Boy. Doy Boy is well behaved and knows lots of tricks, so if you see him do be shy and shake his hand, and he doesn’t bite much. Zach would like to thank all his friends, family, and colleagues that have cheered him on in the audience, because they are the ones that keep him going and make him strive to achieve his dreams. |

This past year she graduated from Roosevelt High School in Seattle, Washington, where she performed as Matron Mama Morton in Chicago. Most recently she played Maya in Myocardium; Graphite with Dreamwell Theatre. In her first year at Iowa, she is double majoring in English and creative writing and musical theatre. Zoe is deeply grateful for the unwavering support of her parents, and their tolerance of her incessant singing. |

![]() Roustabout/Ensemble | DAVID LEE* David Lee is a first-year undergraduate student cookin' up his physics, astronomy, and sociology majors at the University of Iowa. His previous stage credits include the Dauphin in Marie Antoinette, High School Musical, Big Fish the Musical, The Farnsworth Invention, and Oliver. Although David begins his highly unanticipated journey as a hungry, exploited roustabout, yearning for something excitingly delicious, he leaves the horrific working condition of the side show. He tries his hand at being a reporter and he realizes he has better things to do than write about gossip for two pennies a page. He eventually finds his calling becoming the explorer searching for the 8th wonder of the world. As an honest traveling storyteller of the world’s unimaginable beauties, he is always up for a spontaneous adventure, to your dining room perhaps, ready to be fed a delicious homemade meal. ![]() Snake Lady/Ensemble | HANNAH LIPSKI* Hannah Lipski is a third-year studying theatre arts on the musical theatre track, and journalism & mass communication. She is from the south suburbs of Chicago and a dancer first and makes both part of her personality. You may have seen her in other Iowa productions, Rockabye (The Strongest Woman in the World), Lil G: A Gatsby Remix (Chorus), and Razor Creek (Ensemble). You may have also seen her on The Daily Iowan TV, where she anchors and does live reporting every week. She’s ecstatic to be part of her first mainstage production! Before her collegiate career, her favorite role was Ellie Blake in Freaky Friday, and her favorite show was A Christmas Story. She would like to thank her parents and grandparents for their constant support, and driving her to every dance class, theatre rehearsal, music lesson and sitting though her at-home performances. He has appeared in rad shows like Pippin, Curtains, and Bat Boy the Musical. Outside of theatre, Isak writes sketch comedy, performs silly songs, and is the current reigning world champion of swinging like Tarzan on a rope and then falling into mud with style (Kashima Gatalympics, 2024). He is very excited to be performing as many characters in Side Show and he is still very confused as to what the word “roustabout” means.
