Playwright/Composer | CHRISTOPHER LYSIK

Christopher Lysik is a New England boy who writes plays, music, and plays with music. His piece, American Rusałki, premiered at the University of Iowa last May and was recently announced as the winner of the Kennedy Center's National Student Playwriting Award; he previously won the Kennedy Center's Jean Kennedy Smith Award for his solo performance, Pierogi Play. Additionally, Christopher's work has been supported by the O'Neill, Fresh Ground Pepper, WildAcres, Powerhouse Theater, Williamstown Theatre Festival, and RI Youth Theatre, among others. Director | NICHOLAS POLONIO

Nicholas Polonio is a Brooklyn-based director of plays and musicals. He has developed new work with New York Theatre Workshop, Soho Rep, MCC, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Movement Theatre Company, Bedlam, Ma-Yi Theater Company, The TEAM, Normal Ave, Asian American Arts Alliance, Sống Collective, and the American Playwriting Foundation. He is an alum of the Drama League Directing Fellowship, Roundabout Director’s Group, Mercury Store Director’s Lab, Young Vic Genesis Directors, and the National YoungArts Foundation. Nicholas teaches a seminar in Directing at NYU Playwrights Horizons, and received a BFA in Acting from Rutgers University.

Music Director | OLIVIA GOULD

Olivia Gould is thrilled to be working with this brilliant team on this reading of Songs for the Anthropocene! She worked as an actor and music director in the Boston area before receiving her Master's of Social Work from Simmons University in 2023. Recent music-directing credits include American Rusałki (staged reading 2023, UIowa New Play Festival 2024), and acting credits include In This Sepulcher, We Are Fed (Flavie) and West Illinois Glass House (Inez). All my love to Chris, a partner in every way.

Stage Manager | ADDY TAYLOR

Addy is a Fall 2024 graduate of the University of Iowa, with a degree in Theatre Arts and a Minor in Music. Recent University of Iowa credits include Stage Manager for Death Surrogates, Scenic/Props Designer for When You Read This, and Assistant Stage Manager for American Rusałki during the 2024 New Play Festival. She wants to thank Chris for allowing her to work on another one of his amazing works with all these wonderful people.
