Piano | MARIYA AKHADJANOVA

Mariya Akhadjanova is currently an ABD student finishing her doctorate studies in piano under Dr. Ksenia Nosikova at the University of Iowa. She is a native of Uzbekistan and started playing piano at age six. In 2018-2021, Mariya was a piano teaching assistant for individual lessons and group piano, as well as collaborative pianist at the University of Iowa. Mariya performed with National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan and throughout the world as a soloist and a chamber musician.

Cello | MADISON BRADY

Madison Brady is a first-year student studying cello performance. Originally from Bettendorf, Iowa, Brady has brought a variety of musical experiences to the University of Iowa, from the intense repertoires of the Quad City Youth Symphony to rocking out in the pit orchestra for Carrie the Musical. She wants to thank her mentor, Hannah Holman, and her supporter Sue Paul for helping immerse her in the music world.

Percussion | TOM CORBRIDGE

Tom Corbridge is a Percussive Arts Society award-winning percussionist and student here at the University of Iowa. He has performed with many world-class musicians across the country and is touring with his duo partner later this year.

Viola | LAURA GODDARD

Laura Goddard is a multi-instrumentalist.  She has previously performed with the Department of Theatre Arts for Northanger Abbey, Sunday in the Park with George, and Ascend. She performs regularly with the Cedar Rapids Concert Chorale and Muscatine Symphony Orchestra, and spent eight years playing in "Slewgrass," a local Americana band. Originally from Iowa City, she trained with Bill Preucil Sr. and Rene Lecuona.  Laura works in the UI School of Music.

Bass| ASKAR KHAETOV

Askar Khaetov is a bass player, performer, and teacher. He holds a bachelor's and master's in jazz performance from the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan. During his career in his hometown, he has performed at various concerts, festivals, and competitions, within the country, as well as abroad. Khaetov plays both bass guitar and double bass. He is currently pursuing a master's degree and working as a teaching assistant at the University of Iowa in the jazz department.
