Effective by Charlie O'Leary. Directed by Sarah Gazdowicz. Grey photo of theatre building.

This virtual performance premiered on Wednesday, October 21, 2020.

The overworked, underpaid staff at a failing educational music publishing company strives to keep the business afloat, even as management seems to work against them. A workplace satire about the monsters that capitalism has made of millennials, Effective asks: how far can workers in this economy bend before they break?

This production contains strong language, gunshots, discussions and depictions of suicide, and implied graphic violence.

From our bathroom breaks to our sleep schedules
to our emotional availability, millennials are growing up
highly attuned to the needs of capital markets. We are encouraged
to strategize and scheme to find places, times, and roles where we
can be effectively put to work. Efficiency is our existential
purpose, and we are a generation of finely honed tools.
