Playwright/ Director | JAMES GULDEN* James Gulden is an undergraduate playwright, director, and actor. Previous works at University of Iowa include writing and directing HOME IS WHERE THE TV IS and DERECH ERETS, directing JOURNEY TO THE LOVELY EMPIRE, and performing in UH-OH, FATHERS AND SONS, CUPID TYRANNOUS, and SAWDUST. James would like to thank his family for always supporting his dreams, and his best friends Israel and Adelyn for always being there for him. |
Co-Director | JEAN-PIERRE NAMINK Jean-Pierre "JP" has a bachelor's in English & Creative Writing and Screenwriting (Spring '23). Grown Backwards is JP's first production at the university. He would like to thank his family for their ceaseless support and inspiration, Alexis for pretty much everything, and co-director/creative accomplice James for taking him on to be part of this truly astonishing project. |
Composer | JONAH PROPP Jonah Propp obtained their B.A. In Music composition and Chemistry at Occidental College in 2015 before attending the University of Iowa for their PhD in Medicinal Chemistry. Jonah Propp has worked with James Gulden previously to create music for "Home is where the TV is". |

Stage Manager | SARA ELLEN* Sara Ellen is a freshman and this is her first production at the University of Iowa. She is double majoring in mechanical engineering and theatre arts. She wants to thank her parents who have supported her through everything. Also, she wants to thank her friends and everyone else who has supported her. Enjoy the show. |
Scenic Designer | KATE MARGHEIM Kate Margheim graduated in Spring 24'. They majored in Art Education and Minored in Technical Theater. In the past, they have worked on props for "Home is Where the TV is". |

Lighting Designer | MEREDITH ONIONS* Meredith Onions is a junior studying informatics. Her prior works at Uiowa includes workshop productions The Space Between Coke Bottles and Orange Slices, UH-OH!, and When You Read This as well as the gallery production of The Obituary. She also designed the lights for Spells for Going Forth by Daylight, a production at New Play Festival in Spring 2024. She is thankful for both her family and her friends. Meredith has had an absolutely incredible time working on Grown Backwards, and she hopes that you enjoy the show!! |
