Meet the Cast of Outside
Dom \| GABRIEL A. BAUTISTA Gabriel A. Bautista, 22, junior, always here for a good time and trying to just enjoy life. TikTok addict with a homework problem.
Shia \| ALEX GRANFIELD Alex Granfield is a third-year student at the University of Iowa studying theatre arts and music. He was last seen in this year’s Ten-Minute Play Festival and Seven Neos on the Brink of Mediocracy last fall. He has also acted and worked behind the scenes in community shows for City Circle Community Theatre and Theatre Cedar Rapids. Alex has had a ton of fun working with the team of Outside, and he hopes you enjoy the show!
Swift \| MALLORY ZWIEFEL Mallory Zwiefel is a third-year theatre arts major with a minor in communication studies. She is excited to be a part of this production, and to be able to act during COVID times. She thinks Outside is pretty cool.
Alex \| ALEXIS VASELOPULOS Alexis Vaselopulos is a senior studying theatre arts and psychology in her final semester at the University of Iowa and is very excited for this show! Past credits include The Serpent Under’t, A Plant, Shakespeare in Flux, and as a playwright for the Ten-Minute show A Part. Many thanks to Travis, Katie, and the cast for this opportunity and to her professors, friends, and family for their support.
F \| CRISTOV PAZ Christov Paz is a multi-media artist hailing from Miami, Florida. Outside will be his acting debut. This is his way of exploring new territories in life. He aims to explore every art medium he can.
Jackie \| LUCY DOU Lucy Dou is a first-year theatre arts and creative writing double major. She is an actor, singer, writer, and professional level Chinese zither/harp player. She's excited to be part of this show and hopes you enjoy your watching experience.
Customer/Fan/Guard \| ERIN LUO Erin Luo is a third-year undergraduate double majoring in theatre arts and journalism and mass communication, she plays multiples roles in Outside.
Customer \| KATE MARGHEIM Kate Margheim is a sophomore here at the University of Iowa. Currently an art major looking to get into the teachers' education program. But the reason Kate is part of this show is that they are a theatre major on the design track. This is Kate's first show with the University of Iowa. Even though its zoom and it's a collection of furniture instead of some grand scenic marvel, this is still Kate's favorite thing to do.
Boyfriend \| TRAVIS COLTRAIN Travis Coltrain is a senior majoring in theatre arts, English, and creative writing. Originally from Miami, he now calls the Midwest his home. His poetry has been published across the East Coast, Midwest, and in five languages. When Travis isn’t writing, he can be found cooking or annoying his hedgehog, Godzilla. Outside is Travis’s debut play.
