Meet the Creative Team of Outside
Playwright/Director \| TRAVIS COLTRAIN Travis Coltrain is a senior majoring in theatre arts, English, and creative writing. Originally from Miami, he now calls the Midwest his home. His poetry has been published across the East Coast, Midwest, and in five languages. When Travis isn’t writing, he can be found cooking or annoying his hedgehog, Godzilla. Outside is Travis’s debut play.
Scenic Designer \| KATE MARGHEIM Kate Margheim is a sophomore here at the University of Iowa. Currently an art major looking to get into the teachers' education program. But the reason Kate is part of this show is that they are a theatre major on the design track. This is Kate's first show with the University of Iowa. Even though its zoom and it's a collection of furniture instead of some grand scenic marvel, this is still Kate's favorite thing to do.
Lighting Designer \| TYLER SALOW Tyler Salow is a sophomore currently working on his theatre arts major at the University of Iowa. While he’s unsure as to what to do with his degree, Tyler can be sure that experiences such as working on this show will help form his own story. He has previously worked as a lighting designer for Bigfoot Takes a Walk and is looking forward to helping share this wonderful production with you.
Stage Manager \| KATIE REDDEN Katie Redden is a sophomore in the theatre department on the acting track. This is also her first time stage managing a show for the department. She has been seen in other shows such as Palanquin and Ten-Minute Play Festival. She would like to thank Travis for such an amazing opportunity and thank her amazing Hamster, Luna Lovegood, for being her number one fan.
