3 Cubes and a Ghostlight is a collection of original works written by the students of the Undergraduate Playwrights Workshop, each inspired by the shared image of three cubes and a ghostlight.

Through an investigative and collaborative process, the ensemble embodies the spirits of ghosts, moreover, forgotten artists—those who once rehearsed, dreamed, and waited in the wings but never had their chance to perform. Each piece becomes an offering, allowing these lost voices to finally step into the light through fragments of memory, imagination, and hope.

While the title references “three cubes,” the number is symbolic—an offering rather than a limit. Throughout the performance, multiple cubes are used as an extension of the storytelling, demonstrating how something as simple as actor blocks can transform into landscapes, memories, barriers, and dreams.

3 Cubes and a Ghostlight is a celebration of creativity, resilience, and the enduring power of storytelling that refuses to be extinguished.

Please be advised this production includes haze, strobe, contains depictions of death, trauma, sexual content, transphobia, homophobia, onstage violence, and hospitalization due to mental illness; and references to drugs and school gun violence.
