Playwright | ELI CAMPBELL

Eli is a second-year MFA playwright from Chicago. After getting their BA in Theatre and Spanish here at the University of Iowa, they interned at Theatre Goodman and studied at Steep Theatre and the Chicago Dramatists. Past works include Jarred (Dev. University of Iowa, 20% Theatre, Artemisia Theatre), All the Yellows (Dev. University of Iowa, 5th Wall Staged Reading Series), Nevers (Dev. University of Iowa), and Nest (Dev. The Story Theatre). Their new piece, Pleasure Play, will premiere at Dreamwell Theatre in Iowa City this November. Thanks to the cast, team, and the playwriting cohort for all their support during this process!

Michael Christopher Flores is a director/choreographer and first-year MFA Directing Candidate at UIOWA. Michael holds a B.A in Theatre Arts with an Emphasis in Musical Theatre Performance from San Diego State University. Some directing credits include CABARET, HEAD OVER HEELS & 35MM: A MUSICAL EXHIBITION. Michael's directorial focus is central to his experience with Dance-Theatre, he has written, directed & choreographed two dance-theatre pieces titled LITTLE BOY BLUE & MEMORY. Emma is a third-year undergrad studying stage management as a double major in Theatre and Art. Her other credits at Iowa include rockabye, Something Rotten, and New Play Festival. She also works as a production assistant at Hancher theatre. She is so thankful for the opportunity to work with this production team and cast and can’t wait to show you all their hard work.

Cj Johnson is a scenic designer pursuing an MFA in Theatre Design at the University of Iowa.  Originally from Alaska, they have worked on everything from Lysistrata to Kung Fu Hamlet.  They are delighted to be a part of this show, and they would like to thank the cast and crew for making this such a memorable first project at UIowa!

I.M. Fortunato is a costume designer currently pursuing an MFA in Theatre Design at the University of Iowa. Coming from Buffalo, NY, Bella has designed costumes for several shows including Roger’s and Hammerstein’s Cinderella and Twelfth Night. Bella has always had a passion for new and experimental theatre and is elated to be part of the team in workshopping this show. She hopes to be able to explore more new work at University of Iowa.

Sound Designer | ADAM DETERS*

Adam Deters is a first-year Exercise Science/Pre-Med major from Clinton, IA with a passion for theatrical sound design. He is the sound designer for In This Sepulcher, We Are Fed which is his first show at the University of Iowa. He is grateful for the opportunity to continue his passion of sound design and to be able to work with an amazing group of people.

Lighting Designer | NICOLE BLODIG*

Nicole Blodig is a fourth- year undergraduate Theatre Arts major on the design track, studying lighting design, with an art minor. She has designed numerous shows at the university; recent credits include Ghost Town (2023) and rockabye, or: A Play About a Tree (2022). Over the summer, Nicole worked for Hope Repertory Theatre in Holland, Michigan, designing Three Little Birds as well as assisting on Rock of Ages and Boeing, Boeing. In her designs, she enjoy using lighting in a generative way that amplifies emotion on the stage through variation in color, texture, and angle. Post-graduation, she plans on moving to New York to work as an electrician and freelance lighting designer.

Asst. Stage Manager | VIVIAN BONDE*

Vivian Bonde is a first-year student from Davenport, Iowa. She is currently a double major in Theatre Arts and Communications. In This Sepulcher We Are Fed  is her first show at the University of Iowa. This is also her first experience as an assistant stage manager, so she is excited and grateful to be working with such a supportive production team.
