A new student at a prestigious all-boys prep school finds his life turned upside down when he develops a forbidden, intense friendship with the school’s prefect, forcing him to confront his identity, past trauma, and the devastating consequences of fear.
The play is set in a prestigious all-boys Catholic boarding school on the Eastern Coast of Maine during the early 2000s.
Please be advised this production explores identity and faith in an all-boys school. It contains homophobia, descriptions of a hate crime, on-stage assault, underage drinking, and depictions of suicidal ideation and self-harm. Audience discretion is advised due to these sensitive themes.
If you or someone you know is struggling, resources and support are available through national mental health and LGBTQ+ advocacy organizations. At the University of Iowa, please visit: https://uihc.org/lgbtq-community-resources
