Alice Conroy is a third year Theatre Arts major and first time Iowa New Play Festival participator! Alice is incredibly grateful for all she is learning through this project. For example, a new dialect. Despite what you may think, she is actually not Polish and learned this accent...not that long ago (gasp)! Happy New Play; enjoy the show!

Margaret | EMMA BIBB

Emma Bibb is beyond thrilled to be returning to the excitement of New Play Festival. Her most recent credits include Pleasure Play by Eli Campbell with Dreamwell Theatre and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels with Rising Star Theatre Company. She completed her BA in Theatre Arts at The University of Iowa in 2020, and she is planning to head to the Los Angeles area within the next year to pursue a career in film and television. Currently, she is working as a Cosmetic Medical Assistant as she continues to look for ways to hit the stage in the community. She would like to thank her family and her best friends for their endless encouragement and support, and she hopes everyone enjoys the show! 

Jack | CHARLIE DUFFY*

Charlie Duffy is in his third year at the University of Iowa, double majoring in Theatre Arts and Psychology. This is his fourth show through the university, previously performing in Fathers and Sons (Arkady), In This Sepulcher, We Are Fed (Sacha), and Into the Woods (Narrator). He is so grateful for the chance to work on this amazing and exciting new project, especially with such a lovely and talented cast/creative team. Enjoy! 

Esther | ROXY GLAVE*

Roxy Glave is a first-year screenwriting and theater arts double major. She performed last semester, in two workshop productions, American Rusałki (Esther) and Reflections (April), and just recently performed in as Granny/Steward in Into the Woods. She is thrilled to be able to experience American Rusałki again, this time on a stage. She’d like to thank the cast and crew who put so much work into this show and hopes you’ll be thrilled to see it too! 

Benjamin / Dr. Oliver / Thomas’ Figure | LUIS AVALOS*

Luis Avalos is a second-year undergraduate student at the University of Iowa. He is double majoring in Theatre Arts on the music theatre track and Communication Studies. His previous performances at the University of Iowa include Into the Woods (Wolf), Fathers and Sons (Eugene Bazarov), Braided Sorrow (Officer/Chorus/Carlos US), and Rockabye (Confectioner/Chorus). He is thrilled to be a part of this production and would like to extend gratitude towards the cast and production team! 

Thomas | PARKER LAMBERT*

Parker Lambert (he/him) is a first-year at the University of Iowa, working towards a degree in secondary theater and English education! This is his second performance for the department, and he is elated to be here!
