Calvin | AUSTIN HOOK* Austin Hook is a second-year student of history and the theatre arts, and is a very big fan of bears. This is their first appearance as an actor at the University of Iowa, but their work as a playwright has previously appeared in the Ten-Minute Play Festival earlier this year. Marko | COLBY BOZA* Colby Boza is a freshman with a major in theatre arts at the University of Iowa. He is so excited to be a part of his first New Play Festival! You might've seen him last semester in Drill, Drill, Drill by Bridget Dieden (Conrad). Enjoy the show! |
Mama Bear | ALICIA PHILADELPHIA** Alicia is a second-year MFA acting candidate. Favorite credits include the Nurse in Romeo & Juliet, Katrine Stockmann in An Enemy of the People, Beatrice in Sigh No More, Elizabeth Lavenza in Frankenstein, Norma Valverde in Hands on a Hardbody, and Shrek in Shrek the Musical. Rhonda | ZOE HOFFENBERG* From a young age, Zoe adored all aspects of performance from playwriting to singing. She is a sophomore from Seattle, Washington and is double majoring in English & creative writing and music theatre. Most recently she played Maya in Myocardium; Graphite with Dreamwell Theatre, 1/2 Man 1/2 Woman in Side Show, Bob in Earthus Terminus, and Marina in Uncle Vanya. She is grateful to her parents for their unwavering support, and their tolerance of her incessant singing. |
Olivia | NORAH LOGAN* Norah Logan is BEAR-Y excited to be a part of her first reading at NPF. She is a second-year student studying creative writing and theatre and has most recently been seen in Stained Glass (Chelsea), Found and Lost (Vera, 10-Minute), and Romeo and Juliet (Apothecary/Capulet Ensemble). Travis | HUNTER MEYER** Hunter Meyer is a second-year MFA acting candidate from Kansas City. Past University of Iowa credits include: Vanya in Uncle Vanya, Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, and Rossa in salt tongue. Other favorites: Howard in Moon Over Buffalo (Tent Theatre), Miles in She Kills Monsters (Missouri State University), and Doug in Gruesome Playground Injuries (KCACTF Reg V). |
