Playwright | POONAM DHIR**

Poonam Dhir is a queer playwright, poet, Punjabi descendent, and settler currently based in Iowa City, where they are an MFA candidate in Playwriting at the Iowa Playwrights Workshop. Poonam’s work explores identity, trauma, memory and the relationship between belief and belonging. They contemplate themes of migration, displacement and loss. They are the recipient of a 2024 Stanley Award for International Research, a 2024 Graduate College MFA Summer Fellowship, a 2023-24 Iowa Arts Fellowship, a 2022 Lambda Literary Fellowship in Playwriting and a finalist for the 2021 PEN Canada New Voices Award, Poetry. Director | NINA MORRISON

Nina Morrison is a playwright, director, teaching artist and activist. Recent credits include: Nina’s musical,  Hearts on Fire, staged reading at The Jungle Theater, Minneapolis; Nina's play The Age of Innocence was included in the 2023 Playwrights' Center's Venturous List. Nina was a 2018 and 2019 finalist for New Dramatists and a 2019 finalist for the Jerome Playwriting Fellowship. Before Iowa, Nina was based in New York City where she was a Dixon Place Artist-in-Residence, and she was a WORKSPACE Writer-in-Residence, a residency program of the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. She holds an MFA in Directing and an MFA in Playwriting both from the University of Iowa.

BA(hons) English Literature & Theatre Studies from The University of Sheffield 
MA Theatre Criticism & Dramaturgy from Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, University of London. Margaret (She/Her) is a first-year MFA candidate in Dramaturgy. Her most recent credits include Fahrenheit 451 (CDT, Complicité), A Bright Room Called Day (Collaborazione), Scenes from an Execution (Dear Hunter Theatre), and the premiere of W.E.T. (CSSD).
